Tameside Open Brass Band Championships 2000

The Tameside Open Brass Band Championships was held at Tameside Hippodrome, Ashton-under-Lyne on Sunday 2nd April. Eight other bands entered the third section along with Pilling. The piece chosen for the days was 'Oceans' by Goff Richards. We were drawn eighth out of nine bands. The band gave a good performance. The soloists performed very well on the day, and the band walked off stage feeling pleased with themselves. In the end, we were only given fifth place. Well, that's contesting! The section was won by Skelmersdale.

Next contest - Ulverston, Sunday 16th April
